I am a highly experienced and qualified tutor offering in-person and online tuition in History and English.
I provide one-to-one tuition for students studying for the following SQA qualifications:
- National 4 History
- National 4 English
- National 5 History
- National 5 English
- Higher History
I work with students who are attending school or college, as well as young people who are unable to attend school.

Based in Newburgh in Fife, I offer online tutoring for students throughout Scotland. I am also available for in-person tutoring in the Perth and Cupar areas.
The benefits of one-to-one tuition
In a mainstream class, there is one teacher to approximately 30 students. Realistically, it is not possible for the class teacher to tailor their teaching methods and materials to each student’s individual learning style and needs. Moreover, for some students, the classroom environment is not conducive to learning; it can be noisy and distracting, even overwhelming. Interactions with peers and staff can also cause anxiety. One-to-one tutoring helps to overcome these issues, providing an opportunity to learn outwith the traditional classroom.
